Preparing for your appointment

Is there anything I should do before my session?

  • Plan for a restful evening — if you’d like to exercise, I recommend that you do it before our session.

  • If you can, it would be ideal to avoid caffeine, alcohol or any recreational drugs for the next 24 hours.

  • Prepare a short list of anything you’d like to address during your session. Sometimes things and situations change from when you submitted your intake form so any updates would be appreciated.

What should I bring to my session?

  • You are not required to wear a mask during your session but please wear a mask at all other times to respect the Mānoa House space.

  • Bring water, lip balm (if your lips tend to get dry) and wear comfortable clothing to the session.

  • Any crystals, tools or essential oils you’d like to work with.

  • If you’d like to take notes you are welcome to bring a small notebook.

What should I do expect during my session?

  • In the beginning of the session, we will go your intake form and go over any intentions you’d like to set for your session.

  • *Please keep in mind that each session manifests differently for each individual. I do my best in accommodating what your energy and your body needs at that time.

    • During the session, you will be asked to lie down with your eyes closed or turning your gaze downward. I will go through various grounding techniques and interchange different healing modalities. We'll be doing an active breath meditation while using sonic elements to deepen your experience.

      • 2-part open mouth pranayama (breathwork) for 20-25 mins, this is also known as controlled active breathing. You can watch me do the breathwork here.

        Here are some things that might happen that are normal in breathwork. But if this makes you uncomfortable, return to a natural breath, it will subside in a few seconds.

        -Temperature fluctuations
        -A tightness or "lobster claws" in the hands or face
        -A tingling in the body
        -Emotions may bubble to the surface

  • After the session, we will speak about the session and what we both experienced — during this time I will use intuitive guidance from Divine, your body, and your ancestors, Tarot and Oracle cards or access your past lives and Akashic Records (all with consent of course.)

    All my sessions are sacred and confidential.

What should I do after my session?

  • Plan for another restful day / evening — allow time and rest for your mind and body to continue integrating and cleansing the energies. Listen to your body. I personally like to journal about my session to help me process.

  • No exercising, bodywork (massage, cupping, acupuncture) for at least 24 hours.

  • Be open and mindful to any shifts, everyone is different — you may continue to detox (i.e. wanting to sleep early, tenderness with emotional processing, passing headache) or feel even more energized after your session (clarity within situations, overall energy boost).

I loved my session! How often should I schedule my sessions?

It is totally up to you! I normally recommend at least coming to see me once a month but I have clients who visit me bi-monthly and weekly. It really depends on your preference.
